Billy Duncan, Senior Pastor

Billy and Melita came to Beallwood in November of 2001. Billy came to the Lord at 14 and sensed God's call to pastor at the age of 16. A native of Opelika, Alabama, he has pastored for 35 years in Southern Baptist Churches.

He and Melita have two children, Melody Poole (Chris) and Jonathan (Katherine). Their children have blessed them with five grandchildren, Eli, Asher, Lydia, Lyla and Silas. Billy is a  1980 graduate of Criswell Bible College and 1982 and 2004 graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Minister of Worship and Senior Adults

Our Minister of Worship and Senior Adults resigned in February of 2012 in order to pursue bi-vocational ministry.  Dedicated volunteers and the staff are heading up these areas until the position is filled with God's man in God's time.  Until that day, we will still Sing to the Lord!

Matt Sachitano, Student Minister

Originally from New Orleans, LA, Matt graduated from Auburn University in 2004 with a degree in Computer Science. After graduation, he volunteered in Youth Ministry for one year before entering Southern Seminary in the fall of 2005 and graduating in 2008.

Matt joined Beallwood's staff in June of 2009 to serve alongside parents as Student Minister. In August 2010, he married Sarah Hewes of Mobile, AL.

Linda Bruner, Pre-School and Children's Director 

A native of Dothan, Alabama, Linda graduated from Auburn University and attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. As Preschool/Children's Director she is responsible for equipping teachers and workers who minister to children birth - sixth grade. Over the past 23 years Linda has served as a Certified Equipper for the Sunday School/ Open Group Ministries Department of the Georgia Baptist Convention.

Linda is married to Paul Bruner and they have three grown sons and a wonderful daughter-in-law.

 James Taylor, Associate Pastor to Counseling and Outreach

James and his family joined Beallwood in July of 2009. Originally from Opelika, AL, he moved here after ministering in Dayton, OH, for two years. He graduated from Auburn University in 2006 with a degree in History and is currently working towards his M.Div. in Biblical Counseling at Southern Seminary.

James and his wife, Hilary, married in 2007 and have two children: Elijah, and Adin, and are currently expecting number three!
