Matthew 22:37 says, And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment."

This is the greatest commandment that the Bible gives, yet Christians often only keep two-thirds of it. We love God with all of our hearts and all of our souls, but we neglect God with our minds. We often have excuses saying that we are too busy to read and study or that we are just not people who like to read. Instead of making these excuses, we need to repent of loving other things more than we love God. We are giving our minds to other things, or not giving them to anything at all, rather than to the Holy God who commands us to love Him with our minds.

So at Beallwood we have provided books for you to read that will stretch you spiritually, convict you, and help you grow in Christlikeness. All of the books have been read by our staff and are recommended to our church as some of the best resources available. Many of the books will not be found at local or chain bookstores, so our church bookstore can be a great and valuable asset to assist you in loving God with all of your mind.

All of the books come at a charge. Beallwood does not make a profit off of the sale; we sell them for what we bought them for. The books are available on a rolling cart outside of our sanctuary on Sundays or Wednesdays and can be made available at our office during the week. Contact James Taylor with any questions.
